Thermolite is a synthetic lightweight fabric made of polyester hollow core fibres. It is based on the fur of polar bears that has thousands of pockets of trapped air to insulate the bear. The logic is the same with thermolite, trapped air pockets in the material keep the wearer warm, just like a polar bear! Thermolite is lightweight even when it is wet and it drys more quickly than most materials. In fact it dries 50% faster then cotton and 20% faster than other insulating fabrics. It has excellent wicking and drying capabilities and has even been reccognised as superior to rival fabrics for physiological and performance.
