Accidents can take place at workplaces during construction activities or any other hazardous job, but as they say ‘prevention is better than cure’. Hence to be on the safe side it is extremely important for construction workers to wear the right clothing and choose the right accessories for their own safety and protection.
Here are few tips to stay safe for those who work in construction or at any other dangerous work site:
Vests
• On many work sites you will need to wear a reflective safety vest over your work shirt, t-shirt or sweatshirt.
• Vests are brightly coloured mesh fabric with reflective striping, which will make you noticeable to avoid any sort of accident.
Footwear
• It is essential to have a reliable pair of boots.
• Boots should be very strong but must include a steel toe and should be comfortable at the same time.
• Comfortable thick socks are also an important accessory to provide cushioning and warmth.
Headwear
• Hard hats are a must at any work site.
• Hard hats are made from plastic or other material and should be adjustable for an easy fit.
