Stay safe on the construction site

To prevent any kind of injuries at work, you should always use proper construction safety clothing. Safety clothing includes gloves, safety footwear, fleece, tool vest and bags and many other products.

You should wear clothing that is suitable for your work and the weather around you. You should not wear any loose clothes or neckwear while working on the construction site as they can prove to be hazardous. The footwear you choose should be heat resistant with ergonomic ankle support. They should keep the feet dry by keeping the moisture out and keeping them cool. You should always wear good quality and approved safety footwear.

If your work includes handling chemicals, rough materials, hot or cold objects then gloves should be used to protect your hands. You should not wear any rings, bracelets or other such jewellery on the construction site as they can lead to accidents or injuries.

If the working area is new for you then you should familiarise yourself with any required safety precautions. Even if you are wearing strong durable boots, you should look out for slippery spots, overhanging planks or any loose objects. You should always be aware of the work that is going around you.  

The best way to avoid any injuries or accidents at work is by being careful and at the same time wearing the necessary safety clothing and workwear. Wearing safety clothing at work is not just a precaution, it is legally binding on employers as well as employees.
