Practical applications of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Various practical uses of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) are as follows:

.    Protective clothing is worn to protect the wearer against any kind of injuries. Overalls, boots, gloves are some of the clothing that will protect you against irritation, corrosion and abrasions.
2.    Protective gloves can also be worn by people working in factories, dealing with dangerous machinery.
3.    Protective headgear forms an important part of a motorcyclist or race drivers outfit. Many lives have been saved by this piece of protection.
4.    Eye protectors like goggles and completely enclosed glasses protect the eye from flying debris, chemical splashes and they look good too.
5.    Masks and other respiratory equipment for protection against dust, vapour or gases are worn where a person deals with toxic fumes or sometimes in building work.
6.    Protective clothing is used by firemen to protect themselves from excessive heat, smoke and dangerous fumes.
7.    The police wear bullet-proof jackets when they have to face any dangerous situations.
